I passed the Claude Certified Developer – Foundations certification

I recently passed Anthropic’s Claude Certified Developer – Foundations certification with a score of 896/1000. It’s a proctored exam — identity-verified and supervised — rather than a self-paced course completion, so it’s designed to actually validate the skill, not just confirm you finished the material.

The certification gave me a much clearer picture of how agentic and AI-powered systems are built in practice — the tools involved, the patterns behind them, and where the real design decisions live.

I prepared entirely with Anthropic’s free training resources. The format is mostly dense reading with short quizzes at each checkpoint — not the most exciting delivery, but there’s a lot of well-compressed, practical knowledge in there if you take the time to work through it.

Much of it covers foundational material, so it’s not deeply advanced. Still, finishing it felt like a real accomplishment, and I’d recommend it to anyone building applications or agents on top of Claude.
